Communications Intern

Grow as a Communications Intern joining a busy Kellogg’s project team.

You will help Kellogg progress their proactive PR plans for their European cereal and snacks businesses, working as part of a team responsible for delivering a programme of communications across the European region.

The candidate should have excellent communication and presentation skills and a clear understanding of the importance of Brand PR and social media and how they impact on brands.  The candidate will support the team on day to day activities, meeting support, managing communications approvals, developing content and materials for our central team in support of cereal and snacks activities.

The successful applicant will need to be resilient, able to meet deadlines across multiple work streams, and stay on top of every detail.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As a Communications Intern you will be part of our success by;

  • Working closely with Snacks and Cereal Communications Managers and other internal stakeholders to proactively create communication deliverables
  • Manage day-to-day execution of communications deliverables (Events/ projects / campaigns updates) including managing timelines, developing materials and measuring success
  • Provide communications support for effective delivery of our campaigns - working closely to plan, develop and implement communication deliverables
  • Drafts a variety of communications, including key messages /Q&A, speeches and other scripts, decks, intranet articles, video scripts, and other general communications as required
  • Liaising with European PR agency to ensure timely delivery of materials

 

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations (or equivalent), Corporate Communications, Journalism or related field preferred with a thorough understanding of communications principles and practices
  • Excellent communication skills, including both advanced written and oral communications.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team, to demonstrate effective critical thinking and strategic planning skills
  • Must be able to work well with a variety of key stakeholders throughout the organisation

This role is a Fixed Term Contract position for 6 months; Job Type: Intern, Salary commensurate with experience.
