Social Media Marketing Intern

We are looking to recruit a talented social media marketing intern who will manage our social media channels across our two different companies. Printerinks B2C and IBC B2B.

The social media intern will be a member of the marketing department.

What will the Social Media Marketing Intern do?

  • Be the voice of Printerinks and IBC on all social media sites
  • Achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy through social media channels. This will include defining and communicating a distinct voice, content creation, schedule management, publishing, engagement, and monitoring social media channels.
  • Take full responsibility for creating strategies to increase our fan base on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn and YouTube by developing a ‘campaign calendar’ and delivering the tactics to increase audience engagement.
  • Actively engage followers in a dialogue in an effort to engage new customers.
  • Create weekly content for the news/blog.
  • Be responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the companies and “soft selling” our products and services by providing support to current and prospective customers.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Identify, create, write, prepare and post relevant and interesting editorial content in multiple channels: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and LinkedIn.
  • Create, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video) that will build meaningful connections and encourage people to take action
  • Create and optimise profile pages within each social platform to increase the visibility of social content.
  • Write weekly content for Blog/News
  • Collaborate with company departments (gym, les mills, swimming, childcare, beauty, group fitness, hotel) to manage company reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
  • Monitor user generated content to remain consistent with core business values.
  • Stay up-to-date with news in the relevant communities to identify and recommend content that is being discussed online that is relevant to our customers.
  • Track and report on social media metrics and key performance indicators
  • Create editorial calendars 3 months in advance.
  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness
  • Manage and encourage online conversations with members and potential members and respond to queries
  • Report on online reviews and feedback from members, clients, and customers.
  • Suggest new ways to attract prospective customers with social media
  • Ensure content and assets are being released on time
  • Generate and sharing content daily that builds meaningful connections
  • Set up and optimising company pages within each social media platform
  • Report weekly on social media activities

Requirements

  • A passion for social media
  • Proficiency in Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Knowledge of LinkedIn, Google Plus and YouTube are a bonus.
  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
  • Ability to use post planning software like DrumOp or Hootsuite
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels
  • The role will include strategy and planning for emerging social media channels.
  • A strong passion for creating great content, researching new trends, and increasing consumer engagement.
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent writing skills required.

Skills & Work Experience:

  • Working towards Degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Business, Media or Public Relations
  • Superior writing skills in English language
  • Experience in social media marketing, blogging, journalism, or digital media specialist
  • Strong business acumen

Good to have

  • Ability to develop and apply creative solutions to complex issues
  • Ability to work independently, yet integrate appropriately with other areas of marketing communications
  • Passion for working in intense, deadline-driven environment.
  • Blogging experience

Remuneration:

-3 month internship with opportunity to extend on review meeting.

-We will include travel expenses to and from work and a project based bonus on successful completion of the internship.
