Surge in interest in junior tech roles among grads! According to Indeed, the following are the hardest roles to fill in Irish tech:

1. Software Developer - 32.4% of roles still open after 60 days

2. Senior Java Developer - 28,3% of roles still open after 60 days

3. Front End Developer - 27.9% of roles still open after 60 days

4. Software Architect - 24.9% of roles still open after 60 days

5. .net Developer - 24.6% of roles still open after 60 days

6. Automation Engineer - 24.4% of roles still open after 60 days

7. Java Developer - 24.2% of roles still open after 60 days

8. Quality Assurance Engineer - 23.9% of roles still open after 60 days

9. Software Engineer - 21.6% of roles still open after 60 days

10. Software Test Engineer - 19.9% of roles still open after 60 days

46% of tech roles posted by employers in Ireland are developer roles.

Indeed found that the hardest roles to fill in tech are also the highest paid. As such, the average salary of the top 10 hard-to-fill roles is 12pc higher than the rest of the listed technology roles, with senior Java developer (€79,000), front-end developer (€68,000) and .Net developer (€66,000) being the best compensated roles in the sector in Ireland right now.
