Assistant Event Manager

Start Date: 29 August 2016 (full time for 7 weeks).

 

Hours: 7 weeks’ full time from 29 August, including a Saturday launch date in September  and event set-up /

onsite on 14/15 October. Additional ad hoc days before 29 August and after 15 October may be required.

 

Location: Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

 

Suitable for: Freelance or fixed term contract basis.

 

Responsibilities:

    Supplier management of all vendors including sourcing, brief, negotiation, order confirmation, file preparation, onsite liaison, invoicing and payment as required (to include stand build company, AV, furniture, venue (the CCD), printer and any other requirements).

    Oversee coordination of set-up of different event areas, including main stage, workshop spaces, registration and information desks.

    Liaise with graphic designer to create and sign-off on all signage and branding elements  on the graphics list.

    Work with event manager lead and production director to prepare  the onsite event and staff schedule.

    Material prep (onsite set-up) and creation of an onsite set-up and breakdown plan.

    Train on the new exhibitor and event management software system and support the exhibitor team, if necessary.

    Help with coordination of the Career Zoo after party in the CCD.

    Any other responsibilities as appropriate to the role and assigned by the event manager and event directors.

 

Requirements:

    Minimum 2 years’ event management experience.

    Excellent MS Office skills.

    Experience working in the Convention Centre Dublin venue would be desirable but not essential.

    Experience working on a small team to deliver a large public event for up to 10,000 people.
