Digital Marketing Intern

Mercantile Group is a hospitality group which includes an extensive portfolio of Ireland’s best known bars & restaurants including Whelans, The George, Farrier & Draper, Café en Seine, Soder & Co, Opium, Pichet, Marcels and more.

Mercantile Group is looking for a Digital Marketing Intern who is passionate about using Digital Marketing technologies, in creative and innovative ways, to drive marketing goals. The successful candidate would ideally have an understanding of key digital marketing platforms, including Search Marketing and Social Media Marketing.

This role will work in a growing team of Digital Marketing professionals, in the dynamic, highly energized hospitality industry, making it a unique opportunity for a candidate to begin to build a career, bringing latest innovative thinking to a fast-paced, highly competitive industry.

This marketing intern role has the potential to become a more permanent role, for the right candidate.


  • Organic publishing and posting on key social media platforms across a number of hospitality businesses.
  • Co-ordinate capturing and availability of high quality real-time assets  from each business – imagery, videography, into central repository.
  • Support visual asset creation for specific campaign-driven activity.
  • Create and optimise paid search activities, primarily using Google’s Adwords platform to drive traffic to websites.
  • Uphold standards of visual content in line with brand tone for each business.
  • Listen for industry info/articles which could be shared
  • Support KPI reporting with key content metrics
  • Generation of new content creation ideas.
